Thoughtful, responsive support for artists at any stage

I’m an artist and experienced support worker offering tailored help with funding applications, mentoring, and project development—especially for artists applying through Arts Council England.

Since 2019, I’ve supported artists who are Deaf, neurodivergent, and/or experiencing mental or physical health barriers to apply for DYCP, Project Grants, British Council funding, and international residencies and opportunities. I’m a registered support worker with ACE, and much of the work I offer can be directly funded through access costs. I also offer support to non-disabled artists.

As an artist myself, with over 15 years’ experience working independently and internationally, I’ve created and toured performances across the UK, Europe and the US; I’ve led creative teams, worked with and without producers, and sustained a long-term practice outside institutions. It can be fragile, brilliant, and demanding to bring your work into the world—and I understand how support, when it’s the right kind, can make a real difference.

Whether I’m helping to shape an application, mentor through a project’s development, or support someone in articulating their ideas, I offer a space that is calm, focused, and supportive of your own clarity and agency. My support isn’t about taking over—it’s about finding ways to make your ideas clearer, your application stronger, and your creative thinking more connected to how you fund and frame your work. It’s not just about putting together a strong application—although that’s part of it—it’s about building a clearer relationship between your ideas and the way they’re communicated.

"Greg helped me put together my DYCP application, and honestly, I don’t think I could’ve done it without him. He really listened, helped me shape my ideas, and made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming."

-Trupti Lyndon, writer and illustrator

  • Access Support for ACE Funding

I offer ACE-registered support for neurodivergent and disabled artists applying for Project Grants or DYCP funding. This includes 1-to-1 meetings, note-taking, application writing support, budget planning, timelines, and navigating Grantium. My support is flexible and responsive, depending on your access needs—and it can usually be covered through ACE's access funding.

    Application Writing + Project Development

If you’re not sure how to start an application, or need someone to help shape and translate your ideas, I offer support, feedback, conversation and guidance. This can be a single session or ongoing collaboration. I’ve supported successful bids to ACE, the British Council, private foundations like Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian or Peggy Ramsay Foundation, international residencies, and more.

    Mentoring + Artistic Support

I offer mentoring and dramaturgical support that can engage deeply with your artistic ideas and intentions or combine artistic insight with practical strategy. I’ve worked with artists developing new work, refining their voice, or clarifying their next steps—with a sensitivity to how artistry, survival, and ambition intersect.

  • I work with individual artists and independent companies and groups across disciplines—especially those working in theatre, live art, performance, and socially or politically engaged practices. I also have experience supporting writers, musicians, visual artists, photographers and interdisciplinary makers.

Much of my experience is with queer artists and those working at the edges of form—experimental, complex, or difficult-to-define projects are welcome here.

  • I offer a free, no-pressure half hour chat about what kind of support you’re looking for and whether I’m a good fit.

As a general guide, I work to an hourly rate of £55/€65, with reduced rates for longer engagements—£170/€200 for a half day, or £290/€340 for a full day. These hours can be spread out over time.

To give you a feel for how things might look in practice, here are a few common ways people choose to work with me:

    • One-off session
A focused hour-long conversation to clarify your ideas, frame your application, or help plan your next steps.

    • Ongoing feedback
I read a draft or materials in advance, and we work through revisions over a series of sessions. This is great if you’ve already started writing and want to sharpen your thinking or clarify your structure.

    • Beginning to end support
Reading and digesting the application guidelines, developing your project framing, planning what’s needed logistically, and co-writing the application materials from start to finish. We work closely over a longer stretch of time to get it right.

These are just examples, we can always figure out what makes most sense for your project, timeline, and needs.
